AN INDIVIDUAL comes to one point searching the root of his or her generations. Tracing family tree could somehow be fun. It becomes even more fun when you discovered that half of your blood is an alien, a foreigner.
Last week of May this year, an awaited first ever Grand Reunion of my clan was held in Bohol, Philippines. This is to gather all Beronios all over the country and some parts of the world.
There were more than 80 delegates from Agusan del Norte, Butuan City, Cagayan de Oro City, Polomolok and General Santos City, Boracay, Davao City, Manila, Bohol and Japan. The excursion day happened after completing the arrivals of all the delegates.
Chocolate hills, Bohol's pride and is one of the famous tourist attractions in the Philippines, are not to be missed. The entrance fee is PHP50.00 per head. It's been my many times to visit the place since I had sojourned yearly.
It is so heartwarming to see my relatives happy faces. But most importantly, our happiness were built by the smiles of newly met relatives.
We visited also the look-a-like monkey of mine, the tarsiers! They are the smallest monkeys and are shy. The entrance fee is FREE!
Python, the longest snake in captivity, intimated us. But the owner made sure that when he is ready for public pose and touch, he had already eaten a live pig or goat. The circumference of the snake body is likely equal to my body. So he can actually swallow me whole. Shhhh!
What Panglao beaches that tourist wouldn't know! The prominent Bohol Beach Club has its way up to the top choice of the travelers. The fine and smooth white sand can burrow your feet down to the ground.
Moreover, it feels so relaxing that after you bathed under the sun, you allow yourself lie down in one of these huts.
Like what I did!
It is indeed an awesome reunion after all. It is not just the places and attractions that amazed us but rather meeting the main root and other end roots of your own clan. Seeing how exactly or seemingly you look alike to them could bring honor where you truly belong.
